Allplan provides automatic design features for slab and wall elements. These automatic processes reflect many years of experience in design, production and erection. Of course, each automatic feature can be controlled interactively and changed manually.

Changes in the design often require new design processes. However, you can control these processes in such a way that changes you have already made are retained.

Connections, nodes
Allplan’s highlights include corner connections and nodes. When you have purchased Allplan, the first step involves configuring the structural details of these nodes. Parameters such as geometry, reinforcement, fixtures, formwork are taken into account, ensuring that you can place connections with a mouse click in your daily work.

Allplan automatically handles complex operations in the background:
Elements are lengthened or shortened, bills of materials are created, dimension lines are updated. And of course, any connection can be modified whenever required.

Factory-specific catalogs
Configuring catalogs to suit the customers’ needs and requirements is a task that requires a deep understanding of the complex interrelationships between design, products and production. The parameters that are specified in the catalogs set standards. In addition, they ensure that design and production interact and that automatic processes like reinforcement run smoothly. Our catalogs include standards, concrete grades, steel grades, bar diameters, girders, mesh, reinforcement types, fixtures, cranes, layouts, joint profiles and lots more!

Libraries
Allplan comes with a wide range of ready-made fixtures, smart symbols and symbols so that you can immediately start designing. You can quickly and easily add objects to these libraries.

Identifier, RFID
assign mark and element numbers. Although this may sound rather simple, this application contains powerful routines and numerous functions for comparing the precast elements and checking whether they are identical.
Depending on the parameters set, all the elements are identical (except for the last bend of an additional bar) or the geometry only.

Apart from that, Allplan always assigns unique numbers to precast elements, whether or not they are identical. This way, precast elements can be identified uniquely throughout the entire process of design, production and erection. In addition, statuses can be set so that the phase of a precast element is immediately evident to all those involved. Together with new technologies like RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), logistics becomes transparent.
