Sandwich panels or wall panels are increasingly produced in highly automated factories using circulation systems. To meet the requirements of these factories, we have developed the Sandwich Panel module, which lets you design relatively simple sandwich and wall panels quickly and easily. In other words, automatic processes and production drawings (element plans) generated automatically facilitate the design process. In addition, this module provides the data required for production using circulation systems. |
As sandwich elements are often very complex, they are usually produced manually. In Allplan, they are classified as “structural precast elements”. This means that sandwich panels are designed element by element as described for “structural precast elements”. |

Begin with the building The procedure for designing sandwich panels is basically the same as that for slabs and walls. The first step involves defining the geometry – be it an individual façade, floor or an entire building. In skeleton construction, slabs, beams and columns need to be defined. Sandwich panels Allplan provides catalogs you can use to define sandwich panels using parameters.
Panelisation The program inserts the panels into the façade. You can define mandatory points for the division. The panels can also be divided manually. Results
